[EBN] Constant Kitchen Fire because of bad Luck

so i played with EBN for the first time last night and was having some issues with the luck system. i actually like the idea of some things being harder or mishaps happen a bit more often... but this was really annoying: so my sim (and ig my sim family's butler as well..) was having a bad luck day. there were three fires in just one (sim) day. two of them my sim caused trying to bake a birthday cake for her son (ofc after the first time the butler ate the cake even though it had already candles on so we had to bake another one.. and burned the kitchen again). the other three fires were caused by the butler cooking. yea sure make the likelyhood of a fire a bit higher with bad luck, but making it completely impossible to cook? also with many people living on a lot there's always gonna be someone having a bad luck day and i surely cannot deal with 5 fires every day... 

(ik i could just disable the luck system, but i do like it in theory.. if it was just a bit more subtle..) 

(playing on PC with mods, but only got MCCC installed atm and no CC)

Does she have the fear of fire? 

Built a new house for a new family. First thing I did was have the Mom go light a fire in the fire place. Instantly caught on fire AND when the family tried to put it out they couldn't. Also, couldn't call the fire department. These random bugs are extremely frustrating.

If you have the new Enchanted By Nature pack, this might be related to your Sim having bad luck or being 'imbalanced'... Go into Settings (3 little dots on top-right) > Game Options > Pack Settings, scroll to find 'Enchanted by Nature' and turn off the following:

Frankly you shouldn't have to do this... But here we are.

Since fires can have a multiple causes, could everyone in this thread answer the following questions

• Does your Sim have the fear of Fire ?
• Do you own EBN and was your Sim having bad luck ?
• Did you ever play in a r-rental and have a cursed book event 
• Do you play on a cursed lot ?
• Was your Sim tense when the fire broken out ?
• Are you using mods/cc
• What platform are you playing on ?

That could be multiple things. Does the lot have the Cursed trait? Does she have the fear of fire? Is the floor or surroundings are made of low fire resistant material? Rugs close to the stove? carpet or wooden floor?

Yes! Ever since installing Enchanted by Nature I have had constant fires. I had four fires in two Sim days worth of game play. I attributed it to the new luck system. If that's the case I would have rather not wasted money on a pack that's going to burn the house down daily.

You can turn off luck in your settings.
