[ECO] Modern Development not changing Evergreen Harbor

The eco-lifestyle world seems glitched when it comes to enacting NAPS via the voting system. Neighborhoods are not fully changing with the green initiative and modern development. For example, the world map for Evergreen Harbor will show the changes, but when entering specific neighborhoods, not all homes reflect NAP changes. Some areas are glitched out completely. Please see the reference photos!

*no mods, no cc, all DLC, tried repairing the game and ended up doing a complete re-install...still happening via PC.

  • I reached into my backups and plucked out a copy of a Save from November 11, 2020. I checked Conifer Station. Both Modern Development and Green Initiatives had been enacted. There are no missing flashing/overlapping terrain or textures. Apt building areas fully implemented.

Current game is a vanilla game. No mods. No CC. Waited out the implementation of Green and Modern NAPs. Lots of flashing/missing/overlapping textures and terrains.

    2020

Now. Note the missing, flashing terrain and textures.

    2020

Now. Missing/overlapping textures, terrain and objects.

    2020

    Now. Missing flashing textures.

The flashing terrain/textures are hazardous to anyone prone to motion sickness or migraines. I could only take a few pictures of the flashing before having to quit. This is really not acceptable.

To be clear: If you've been playing an ECO Saved game since it came out and have enacted the Green and Modern Initiatives, your game will appear to be fine. If however you were to repeal those initiatives you will find that one of the selling features - The ability to change the World's appearance - of Eco Lifestyle is hopelessly broken. This is in addition to one of its other selling features - the changeable Community Lots - being broken

And: We've heard not a peep from EA acknowledging either of these issues.

It happend to me too with a fresh install and new game, never used any mods.

Guess I will pass on playing the DLC that I paid and now is broken.

  • My sim voted for the Modern Development NAP and ever since it was activated, the grass areas along the streets as well as the apartments started looking weird, like the old and new ones are overlapping. See attachments, since it's difficult to explain in words.

I also noticed that when enacting the modern development NAP in Grimms Quarry and you are playing a sim living in either of the apartments on Stone Street one external wall will not change to the modern style but instead stays as the original.

I'm having the same problem. But especially the upgraded apartments are glitchy. Mostly what happens with apartments is the old wall paint lingering on some walls, so the building looks ridiculous. And it happens with one of the Stonestreet apartments, but only if you download a replacement off the gallery, then the wall paint breaks and is unfixable.

Can we have two separate Evergreen Harbors at this point? One modernized and one not? Recently, the world has been messy, and at this point I’d rather surrender and keep two worlds without overlapping textures or partial changes.

  • A nearby deco buildingThe wood flooring is missing from the ground floor and there's a missing window on the left bottom apartmentWhen a sim lives in one of the apartments the wallpaper on the outside of the apartment reverts back to what it was before the N.A.P. It happens to both apartments when they're occupied. The missing window is caused because the walls are uneven on the bottom floorBefore N.A.P. Uneven walls still and the windows are inconsistent with the apartments above/the deco apartments nearby. Before N.A.P

So, I noticed that the Stonestreet Apartments after the N.A.P is set in place that it'll look normal with the correct flooring and wallpaper, but after a household occupies one of the apartments it will revert some of the wallpaper/flooring.  I also noticed that the walls on the bottom floor are incorrect. After the N.A.P one of the windows will be missing on the bottom floor.

I tested this in a new save and it's still an issue.

Note: Not sure if this is an issue with old saves, but sometimes there will be random furniture on the empty bottom floor. I think it only shows up on the version before the N.A.P when you live in the neighborhood but not on this lot.
