I ended up saving the lot to my library and bulldozing it. This allowed my Sim to return from vacation.
I put the saved lot in a new save and move in a random Sim from the gallery. Played around a bit. No issues. Saved it back to my library. Put it back where it was. Played a round a bit. Traveled. Sent my Sim back to Terra Potta - where this all started. Made a pot. Sent him home. My game crashed.
Repaired and reset my game. So far so good. 🤷♀️
This is undoubtedly the most messed up test game I've ever played. It started with the choose a Season loading screen bug and went downhill from there.
Time to start over.
