Recently started encountering this issue. I now have a family living in 404 Pinecrest Apartments that I can't play with because they're stuck in the Sprucewood Square Maker Space.. Whenever I try to load into that family, the game crashes back to the World Choice Map.
After following the instructionsHERE I had no issues with a new save in the fresh user folder (able to load into the Maker Space multiple times, no crash). However, when I brought my affected save over, and tried loading into that family, I again got the same crash and error message.
As this is one of my main saves, I'm hoping that I can regain access by following one of the fixes that have already been mentioned here. In the meantime, I have attached my LE for it, hoping it helps.
