After the recent update of 8/8/24 I’ve had multiple problems with my game. I can’t access the Simology panel without it closing out several times, only the traits display, nothing else. I can’t save my game, access build/buy mode or CAS. Whenever I try to go into the options menu to restart my game, I can’t even get into the options menu- so I have to force quit the entire application. I’ve updated my MODS, taken them out (completely), repaired my game via the EA Play App, and also wiped my Sims 4 files and downloaded the entire game (and add-on’s) to a clean state and still run into these problems.
I'm also having similar problems with my game after the recent update. My sister is the one currently playing on my Windows laptop, which has all the requirements to run the game even with high graphic settings, and she told me that one of her YA sims would just stop whatever task she was doing and then she wouldn't be able to switch between sims in her household (2 YA Sims and 2 toddlers). This issue still persisted after she tried to debug/reset that sim. After she paused the game, it would finally let her switch to just one other sim, but she'd have to force quit the game anyways since it wouldn't let her do anything; it just freezed. I confirmed this today as it all happened when I was with her this time, being the third time it has happened over the last four days. It definitely doesn't look like a PC/laptop issue or mod issue, because I only had one mod installed (that I made sure was already updated), and this issue came up before and after completely deleting it.
I will try to repair the game via the EA app, which is where I play it, but I don't have much hope after searching online and reading these comments. I hope the Sims team can fix this quickly! :(
