This has only just started happening to me since the update on July 1. I've looked for other threads, but none in the bug discussion section that are on this that I can find. As this was not happening to me prior to the update (or at least definitely not prior to the May update), I figured it may warrant its own thread. I do also deal with all the other reported issues - rent not being paid, lease agreement length always remaining at the full amount of days (so never enter a grace period, can't increase rent, etc.), getting sued despite the eviction being just. But this is new and different for me.
First, I didn't get a notification about the vacancy that I know of. Then, when I went into the business panel and found out there was one, I clicked "Fill Vacancy". The tenant agreement window does pop up (though I had a few clicks where it didn't, for the most part it does). I adjusted the rent and then clicked the next arrow. I selected an applicant and then clicked "Done". And afterward, the rental remained vacant. The "Fill Vacancy" button is still there, there is no name on the lease, and when I click "Fill Vacancy" I can do the whole process over again. The adjusted rent does remain when I re-open the box, so that part seems to be working, it's just the actually filling of the vacancy that isn't.
The only mod I use is MCCC. After discovering this, I repaired my game, but that did nothing. Then I disabled mods and removed MCCC from my Sims 4 folder entirely. This issue persists.
I tried to upload a recording of this happening, but the file wasn't an option to attach.
(I recognize a lot of the For Rent stuff is bugged and doesn't work well, but I kind of liked at least having this available, because then I could cheat my family the rent money every week in an "honest" way. Plus, iirc, the patch notes said that tenants should now be paying rent (though I noticed that the lease length bug is still an issue).)
