Same here. I did everything right, but immediately I received a notification that I didn’t take care of it. I’ve noticed that the problem appears when I have to go to another lot. For example, when a charity donation event pops up or anything related to shared spaces, I can resolve the event successfully (because I don’t need to leave my own lot).

However, when I completed the adoption event and then had to travel to another lot, the result reset.**

This is a good point! The cursed book showed up in my unit and it actually worked. Every time I traveled to the other unit to complete the event, I got the message that my unit rating went down.
