For additional information. I have no CC or Mods. I have every Expansion except Enchanted By Nature, all game packs, all stuff packs, some of the Kits (Please ask if you need to know which ones I have).
I am playing with a Teen Sim on the Long Lifespan that graduated early and has a rental unit, a small business and a residential unit. I've been playing this save file on and off for over a year now, and have multiple played households in the file. - AshleighLanghein5 months agoRising Traveler
I have had my Landlord Sim go to the rental property every second day for 1 Sim Week. I had the Landlord Sim do the repair/maintain interaction on all items in the property that could have that interaction done to them (namely: Stove, Fridge, Kitchen Sink, Bathtub/shower, Toilet, Bathroom Sink) and the maintenance rating always says "Poor".
This might be related to these other bugs as I have also experienced these in this same save file:
[FR] Five Star Property Owner: Maintenance event doesn't tick off | EA Forums - 12153867
[FR] Every tenant event successfully resolved is instead treated as a failure | EA Forums - 4995435
Edit By Crinrict: Added missing pack tag to title.

I think this one is also related to the bug that is currently under investigation:

I have left comments on that thread, but here is a copy and paste of my comment there:
"I have just had this issue. I had a bug infestation at my rental property (my sim is the landlord). I went to the property. I used the bug spray option that cost $400. As soon as I had done that I got the message in the attached partial screenshot.
I do not have any mods installed. I have all expansion packs except Enchanted by Nature. I have all game packs and all stuff packs. I have some of the kits. Please let me know if you need a list of the kits I have.
Edit: My sim has the Freelance Botonist Aspiration and is running a rental as a side business, as well as having a small business.
Edit2: This also just happened with a tenant revolt event, after I went over to the property immediately and promised better conditions.Edit3: And once again it happened with the explosive malfunction event. As soon as I replaced the stove I got the message saying I had done nothing to address the event again. My tenant also happened to cause a fire on the barbecue at the same time, but I think that was unrelated. Screenshot of the message attached.
Edit4: The Pet adoption drive succeeded and the unit rating went up."
As an additional note here, the "For Rent" expansion pack was the one I was most excited to get and the only one I remember getting with a pre-order. I have been severely disappointed at all the bugs in it from day 1, and I've been avoiding playing The Sims 4 until the bugs with this pack are fixed... The small business pack is what pulled me back into the game for now, but I don't know how long that will last.Edit5: The water leak event also gave the message that nothing was done to address the event.
Edit6: Trash Overload event gave the same message that nothing was done to address the event after I called in the Trash Removal for $200 - Marslene5 months agoRising Observer
I'm having this problem now that I'm digging into landlord activities in my newest save. No custom content, no cheats enabled, but I had a fine for "unjustly" evicting a tenant who refused to pay a broken lease fine twice so I hit the "Justly Evict" button, and now I've had a Tenant Revolt from a tenant who, when asked, was happy with the conditions of the rental, and when I promised better conditions as the event says you need to, it failed me on the event.
Edit: Since posting this response, I've had numerous events at the rental property, gone immediately to resolve them (closing my open small business on multiple occasions), and received the notification that nothing was done, or it was resolved on its own, despite following the event to the letter. However, when I've called a contractor for events where that's an option, I get a notification that it's resolved nearly every time.

I'm not even getting the option to fix them anymore. As soon as I show up, even if it is right after the notification about the event, it says they handled it themselves, and there is no event UI telling me what to do or how much time I have.

Same exact thing over here, more than 6 months later. But I just recently got the DLC. Knowing these persistent landlord issues, I definitely would've saved my money. Shame on EA.

Same, I just started playing with For Rent and this is still an issue. This pack's gameplay is basically unplayable there are still so many bugs.

I am consistently completing events on time and every time I should be successful, it fails. No, it isn't a mod conflicting with my gameplay. It's the game. Can we please get on top of these bugs? Please.

Whenever my Sim, as landlord, solves an issue, a notification appears that NOTHING has been done to solve the issue and the unit rating went down in response to this.
Since when does this happen?
- since the RELEASE of FOR RENT
How often does this happen?
- Everytime my renting Sims have a maintenance issue.
II play on PS5. I usually avoid playing with residential rentals, because of this. I thought the issue has been fixed, but it hasn't.

Hi there,
The only way to have the event successfully solved is calling an expensive contractor, so that the rental unit rating will go up. The problem is that the challenge won't be completed, and the aspiration won't progress.
