Hello,I am experiencing persistent issues with The Sims 4 Gallery and Limited Time Events after the May 12, 2026 (5.12) update. My game is fully updated and installed via Steam.
Problems:
Gallery All thumbnails show red X (failed to load) .
Cannot browse or download creations properly.
Web version gallery works for downloading, but items often do not appear in My Library in-game.。
Limited Time Events / Login Rewards Cannot open the event icon in the top-left corner.
Shows the message: “Please try again later, the gnome will try to fix the error.”
This worked fine in March/April but stopped working after the 5.12 update.。
What I have already tried:
Deleted localthumbcache package, cachestr folder contents, localsimtexturecache, etc
Verified game files via Steam (Verify integrity of game files)
Repaired game multiple times
Cleaned cache multiple times
Restarted game, EA App, Steam, and PC
Tried offline mode then back online
Removed mods and CCs
None of the above fixed the issues.
System:
The Sims 4 (5.12 latest version)
These online features worked normally for months before the recent update. Please investigate the Gallery and event server connection issues after patch 5.12.
