I've been having this issue for months as well. Last tried to play the game in March 2025. First time trying again was today and same issue. It seems to mostly happen when clicking on Dream Home Decorator items that attach to one another (dressers and shelves) I just ran the diagnosis thing, which I'll attach, but it shows I have DX12. so I am confused about what the problem could be.
It depends on the version you start the game in. It should tell you next to the version number on the main menu of the game in the lower left corner
