game freezes when baby is born

My sim is pregnant and when she has the baby the game freezes during the naming of the baby. the  screen comes up to name the baby, but it check mark button stays unhighlighted and when you hover ove...

    I went into the household and it still froze.

    but i went into a different household and everything was fine.  Went back to the original household, and there was the baby, she had the baby while i was in the other house. so it's working fine now!

    The 1st part worked, so now I'm going through files

    I think the game I was playing is gone. but as long as I can still play I'm good

      Hi GinaD2002​ 

      the game should still be in that folder you renamed. You can just move it over and see if it works.

        I went into the household and it still froze.
