After the latest update I have tried multiple times to have my sims marry or move in together and every time they start the interaction then freeze just before the action completes

Sims 4 University, when I have a sim that is the only sim in their household.
I enrolled her in university and when the "Split from household and move" screen comes up, she is automatically added to the household in that dorm (that's good I want that).
However, when I click the check mark, the game froze and I had to use Task Manager to stop the application.
Workaround: For some reason, putting my graphic options on Low finally allowed this action to work.
