One of my sims was just cursed with the autonomous dance loop… I was just starting a new save, this is honestly so frustrating… I downloaded “no autonomous dance,” hope it works. Did you solved your issue?

Merging this with the dance thread then.

It is the dance interaction. Only the child Sim. Any stereo. If I put the stereo in the household inventory, the loop stops instantly.

There's a known issue for the dance interaction doing this (has been going on for a while). Is that the interaction you're seeing or other interactions too ?

Update:
I discovered that the autonomy loop affecting my child Sim (Elsie) stops completely when I remove the new radio object from the lot. As soon as I place the radio into the household inventory, the looping behavior ends. When the radio is placed back on the lot, the loop returns.
This suggests the issue may be related to the radio’s autonomy tuning or interaction advertisement. Adults in the same household are not affected, only the child Sim.
I hope this helps narrow down the cause.

Hello, since the last Marketplace update, I've been having the same problem. When the "dance" interaction is activated for a child or toddler, hundreds of bubbles with the "dance" interaction are created. You can no longer select the Sims. You have to reset them to remove all these interactions or stop the music. At that point, all the bubbles disappear. Sometimes the game freezes and crashes. I didn't have this problem before the last major update. I don't use any mods or custom content. I uninstalled and reinstalled the game, then started a new game, but the problem persists. Thank you.

Since I wrote this report, the toddler aged up and continues this behavior.

**Product and Platform**
The Sims 4 (PC, EA App)
**Game Version**
Post–March 23, 2026 hotfix
**Mods/CC**
Issue occurs with and without mods. Tested in a clean save with a newly created Mods folder.
**What Happens**
Toddler Sims repeatedly queue the same interaction endlessly. The action queue fills the entire left side of the screen with duplicate copies of the same action, scrolling continuously. The toddler ignores player-directed commands and continues to re‑queue the same interaction. Resetting the toddler clears the queue temporarily, but the loop resumes shortly afterward.
**What Should Happen**
Toddlers should perform the selected interaction once, respect autonomy cooldowns, and respond to player-directed actions without the queue duplicating itself.
**Steps to Reproduce**
- Load any household with a toddler.
- Allow autonomy to run normally OR direct the toddler to perform a simple interaction (e.g., play, babble, nap).
- Observe the action queue on the left side of the screen.
- The same interaction will begin repeating rapidly, filling the queue and scrolling nonstop.
- Player-directed actions may be overridden or ignored.
**Workarounds Tried**
- Reset Object (Debug): temporary relief only.
- Disabled autonomy for the toddler: stops the loop but removes intended gameplay.
- Cleared localthumbcache.
- Tested in a new save.
- Tested with no mods and a fresh Mods folder.
Issue persists in all cases.
**Additional Notes**
This behavior began immediately after the March 23, 2026 hotfix. Prior to the hotfix, toddler autonomy functioned normally. The issue appears related to recent autonomy/cooldown changes introduced in the March patch and hotfix.
**Severity**
High — affects core gameplay for toddler life stage and makes normal play difficult without disabling autonomy.

Edit By crinrict: adjusted title
When my toddlers walk past the radio/wall speaker while it's playing music, their queue fills with constant "dance" actions and they get stuck. I need to pause the game and use cheats to teleport them away from the music to get them moving again.
This has happened with 3 different toddlers now.
I have most expansion & game packs - the ones I don't have are: Seasons, Eco Lifestyle, High School Years, Spa Day, Dine Out, Vampires, Batuu, Dream Home Decorator, Wedding Stories
Currently deactivated are: Get Together, Lovestruck, Enchanted by Nature
