High level musician can't write song (Option missing)

Hey, I know this is an old thread but I'm getting the same error in my game and would like to share some info. I'm playing on the oldest save file I have, I have a sim with level 7 in guitar and violin but the option to 'Write Song' is not showing up for me when I click on the guitar.

I normally play with a couple of simple mods (1/2 speed wolf fury; x2 effective plasma juice for vampires, etc. no UI cheats, no Better Build/Buy, no heavy mods), but for this I turned off mods and restarted the game prior to checking. For these screenshots, the game was 100% unmodded.

I have tried selling the other guitar and buying a new one in the hopes that that'd fix it, but no such luck. Currently I'm unable to progress in the 'Musical Genius' aspiration as it requires 4 songs to be written.

About the pics:

• guitar_01: showing I'm high skill in guitar and violin, no cheats were used.
• guitar_02 and _03: no 'write song' option when I click the guitar with the correct sim.
• guitar_04: mods disabled and game was restarted before screenshots were taken.

EDIT: Please disregard my whole post 😔 somehow I forgot writing songs is unlocked at level 8, for some reason I thought it was at level 6. Apologies for the confusion!
