How to solve the problem to start the sims 4

How do I solve the problem of opening The Sims? I have already reinstalled it, and even so, an initialization error appears. Please help me, I lost everything I had saved, and I would like to start a new game. This is my only pastime. LOL.

  • Jonnes_Jonnitos  The initialization error is usually caused by an antivirus program blocking Sims 4.  So please set exceptions in your antivirus for TS4_x64, TS4_DX9_x64, and TS4_Launcher_x64, or the entire Bin folder they're in.  Set an exception for EADesktop.exe as well.

You may need to repair the game (EA App > Sims 4 > Manage > Repair) after setting the exceptions.

puzzlezaddict tks, im so sad, i made this, bus the problem continue, i think that i go stop playing the game, because i dont know what is the real problem

  • Jonnes_Jonnitos  I still have more suggestions for you, but I'd like to know whether you've tried the new admin Windows account, as described in the thread I linked.  A new, local account (not linked to your Microsoft account or any email address) would eliminate many sources of error, so the test would help either way.

This particular error is almost always fixable, so there's no reason to give up yet.

puzzlezaddict You're right, sure, I tried creating another account and the problem was resolved. and how we can resolve the problem in my principal account?

  • Jonnes_Jonnitos  The next question is where Documents directory is located in your main account.  (Your computer has several Documents folders, but for each account, Windows designates only one as the directory.)  Search in Windows for Command Prompt, open it, and enter this command:

reg query "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders" /v "Personal"

Please post the result here.  You can write [username] instead of your actual username if you want, but leave the rest intact.

The point is that if this is in an incorrect location, that could cause the error.  And even if it's in the right location, some of the ways to try to fix it require knowing the full path to the folder.
