I recently bought HSY and am playing in a no mods, no CC save game on PC.
My Sim has attended and participated in the cheerleading event, football team event, and science fair event and they listen to the judge's announcement at the end usually 3 or 4 times in a row but no winner is ever announced. The Sims just gather around the podium and queue up the listen to announcement interaction, stand there and take notes, then start the loop of listening and taking notes again. The events end and nothing happens. There's nothing in the notification tray and no pop-up.
I understand that you are supposed to be able to win trophies so this is disappointing.
