[HSY] Graduation - not receiving diploma/photo (Patch 1.125.59/2.35)

I rarely play this through, but was surprised to see that the event actually auto populated in my game and so I went. I wasn't able to invite anyone to come along, but my Sim called her mum to join her. The event lasted a long time, but while other NPCs were invited to the stage to get their diploma, my Sim remained seated. One NPC even got their diploma after the hat toss. Still no diploma or photo for my Sim. The event ended. I know that this was meant to be fixed in a previous event, so I wasn't expecting this to not work.
