So I've come back after a number of years to play, bought the expansions and fussed over mods, CAS and Lots, until I encountered this error. At first I naturally thought it was a mod issue until I happened to come across the linked EA answers post. I tried completely deleting everything in the Sims 4 folder in My Documents and the game files to then re-download and regenerate everything and created a random 4 person household (two adult & two teens) then sped though the clock until it was time to head to the school lot (that's one thing I never had an issue with at least). The exception occurs after loading into the lot with both teens, where only one of them has the task bar.
One possibly important thing to note is that this is my first time experiencing HSY, which means that I have been able to not have this issue occur.
