[HSY] School daily tasks not appearing for all teens

hi! i'm experiencing the exact same issue. i have two teen sims and followed both of them to school, and only one of them had the tasks and at the end of the day the teen sim that DIDNT have the tasks didn't even have the option to 'go home'.  i saved the game and continued playing the following day, and now its so bugged to the point where i don't even get the option to follow either of them to school anymore. the follow pop-up doesn't appear and they go into the rabbit hole like the child sims do. and the sim that never had the tasks during school now gets stuck and i'm not able to bring him back home after. 

its so frustrating that this has been an issue for so long, and completely ruins the entire reason of getting the HSY pack. i talked to somebody with the live support chat feature thing and was told that their team has this bug "under investigation", but i feel like it's been that way for so long. im trying to be patient but it's insanely frustrating that i can't even try to ignore the bug and play normally and i still can't. hopefully it gets fixed soon.
