There was a bug fixed for that: [FIXED] [ECO] Off-grid fridges drain power, can't turn off utility usage | EA Forums - 11448627 but it sounds bit different.

I think it's best if you just create a new thread for that aspect. It's not mentioned in the other thread and depending on how far along the investigation is on that one, it might get missed.
