I had my mermaid sim "freedive for treasure" at Lani St. Taz, the action never finishes on it's own and never gives any treasure/result (my sim was diving for hours!).
Tested this with "free dive for shells" too and he immediately found a shell but the action still didnt stop on its own.
On Xbox One. All packs, most kits.
