Inconsistent behavior with Friezes and spandrels

I am struggling to finish a build because I cannot get spandrels and friezes to behave consistently indoors.

Below you can see my problems:

2 - Expected behavior - Frieze goes on top, spandrel goes below, one on top of the other.
1 - Spandrel overlaps with frieze, does not move down
3 - Frieze disappears completely, but you know it is placed because the spandrel has moved down.

I'm playing from PC, I had mods (MCCC, BBB and TOOL) but this happens even if I turn them off.

Please let me know if there is any extra information I can provide. I couldn't find a similar report in the forum. Thank you!

  • bluqueen925   As far as I know, there should be a way to delete the frieze from a single wall tile on a PS4, just like there is a way to do it on the computer version of the game.  I did a search and found this:

In The Sims 4, the PS4 equivalent to the Shift key is to hold down the Circle button (O) and then press the X button (X). This combination allows for precise object placement and advanced interactions within the game.

I'm not sure how this actually works but I would try holding the circle button while you use the sledgehammer and select the frieze inside the room.  On PC, when you highlight the section for deletion, it changes color so you can see what will be deleted.

    Hope this helps.

bluqueen925  Hi!  I'm sorry you're having trouble with this. I've experienced similar issues myself.  Most often it can be resolved by redrawing the rooms but there are also some limitations.  I've done some testing in my game and plan to share a video soon for how to overcome them, but I would like to ask you to share your build on the Gallery so that we can address the issue specific to your game and build.  Please upload the lot to the Gallery and share your Gallery name if it is different.  When uploading please also name the lot something like "Problem with friezes" so that others are aware that there is a problem with the lot.

bluqueen925   Apologies for the delay.  Please see this YouTube video showing what I did to remove the interior frieze sections.  If you have any questions or this doesn't work for you, then it may be something specific to your build.  If that's the case, I'd be happy to check it if you decide to share it on the Gallery.

JonaO703 I apologize for the delay, got busy at home. I appreciate so much you offering to help me. I do not have the ability to upload to the gallery but it is so kind of you to offer your assistance that way. I truly do appreciate it. As for your video, I will check that out and see if it offers me any insight. Thank you again.

bluqueen925  No worries at all!  Just hoping you're able to fix it.  I'm still happy to help if you need it and have more questions. 😊
