New vanilla game. Hired a Nanny before parents left home. Infants needs dropped into the red. He's caring for himself.

I've just had this happen a few days ago. It's an active career Detective, whose wife is a Freelancer so I could have her home with the twin infants they have. When he returned, the infants were on the floor beside their cribs with needs in the red and his wife was watching TV.
The next morning I had him hire a nanny, even though his wife would be at home, thinking that might solve the issue. Nope, when he got home the infants were again on the floor beside their cribs with needs in the red. The wife was actually standing in their room doing nothing for them, and the nanny wasn't even on the lot. The nanny did return shortly after the detective got home with the same "glad to see you again" message they give when hired again.
I play on PC and have never used mods or cc.

Sorry if this is duplicate.
Can't travel if I have an infant being left in their house with the parents present. AKA not in daycare. The only needs filling was energy. Hunger, Fun, etc is in the reds. I have everything except Lovestruck.

I just followed by teen to high school with an infant left at home with two adults and her bladder and hunger went into the red while the energy bar slowly filled. Her bladder bar was even past the point where they’ll autonomously use their diaper.

I saw the general discussion of this from the general discussion 7 months ago, but I want to put it the bug forum. I know I'm not the only player who is experiencing this. I guess I hoped a patch would fix it, but that has not been the case.
In game if you hire a nanny and traverse through the world, the infant's or toddler's needs are so depleted by the time your Sim comes back, it's maddening. They are starving, tired, stinky, and a notification pops up about taking care of your child or protective services will show up. (I have MCCC, so I cheat the needs.) But if I hire a nanny, the game should keep those needs in check, right.
And as I said earlier, this was posted 7 months ago. It has been an ongoing issue.
I don't have any screen shots because my children are older and can take care of themselves. I just wanted my voice to be heard.
Thanks to Redditor, Pinkvoltage, for a screenshot of a nanny leaving an infant after setting the stove on fire.

This is still an issue in my game. Sims will not care for toddlers and infants if they are left on the lot, while other sims go out. You have to keep swapping back to the household to take care of them.
Latest patch. Playing on PC. No mods. No CC. All packs except some kits.

I found this thread but it's ancient:

Yeah that's really old and sounds more of neglect while the nanny is at the house like this one as well: Maids And Nannies Don't Do Their Jobs/Show Up | EA Forums - 11898832
There's was also a very old bug report it seems but that was more about daycare and also didn't have posts in years (Bug Archive)
speedracer1177 Could you maybe clarify what that other thread was ?
