Interactions Getting Stuck in Queue

Oh this is a classics :P This is happening since sims 1, dosent bother me at all tho ;p

For me on PlayStation 4 it happens to my young adult and adult sims. I only play on normal speed. 

It always seems to happen with the "enjoy company" "see what's happening" "listen to 'sims name' question" it's the little white icon with the two people next to each other that's autonomously queued during certain interactions that remains at the bottom of their queue while other conversation icons are happening but it just gets stuck there crossed out if you cancel it. 

I've also had it happen when my sim autonomously wants to talk to an NPC that is in the process of leaving or has just left the current lot or venue, or if a family member is going to school or sleep and they wanted to talk to them just before they left their home lot or got into bed. 

I've also experienced it with occult sims, mainly a spellcaster that transportalates to join a conversation that has just ended and a sim that wants to talk to a mermaid just before they jump into the water and change into their merform, as soon as their icon changes into their merform the icon gets stuck in the non mermaid sims queue and can't be cancelled. 

These are all the scenarios I've had it happen and travelling to another lot usually gets rid of it for me. 

I've experienced this bug before and am experiencing it again now. Playing on PC with mods removed for several months.

-What life stage is your Sim currently in? - Adult
-What interaction is your Sim currently doing, and what interactions are queued? - My sim had "clean up dish" stuck in his queue. That persisted while he went to the bathroom, then while he went to work. I had to reset him when he returned from work to get rid of it.
-What game speed are you currently playing on? - A mix of 2x and 1x. I never use 3x speed unless all sims in the house are sleeping.

Unfortunately, it really happens at all life stages. What the interaction is varies, but I think it's mostly when something was auto-queued rather than what I tell them to do. Particularly interactions with infants and pets, or sometimes with passing NPCs - and it's usually when it's not canceled directly, but gets blocked somehow. Some examples: 

• Talk to passing NPC, but NPC leaves lot
• Talk to cat, but cat falls asleep
• Check infant, but infant won't stop crying to allow themselves to be checked on
• Join cooking, but cooking finished before they got there
• Dance, but radio broke

When it does happen on a direct cancel, it's often a "stubborn" interaction. Examples:

• The toddler dancing bug where they won't stop queuing dance eventually gets a dance interaction stuck
• Extremely tired sim keeps trying to go to bed when I'm trying to get them to finish chores first, may eventually get sleep stuck
• Sim on public lot keeps trying to order a drink or talk to strangers while I'm trying to get them to talk to their date, may eventually get wait for drink or chat with [not their date] stuck. Of course this last example may also fit the first situation - maybe it was because the bartender wouldn't stop doing tricks to actually make their drink, or some other sim stole their drink, or the NPC they were trying to talk to left.

I mostly play on speed 1. I have not noticed if speed 3 makes it worse or not.

I’ve had this with multiple life stages; with confidence, I’ve had my teens get this (not sure if then going to school interferes), and my main sim who is a young adult gets this. For me it’s not too common, but it happens. I want to say I’ve only seen this with sims I can control (toddler+) but I could be wrong. I remember seeing the “Celebrate!” interaction in particular get stuck like this a lot when I age up a sim with birthday cake. I like to play with the gameplay sped up, but when it comes to prepping sims for age up I usually slow it back to normal speed.

I’m glad it worked for you but it doesn’t work for me and other people.

It’s a bug in the game and it doesn’t matter if I make a fresh install, played a bit, repaired the game - it still happens.

When you get to the ea start page. This is where you repair the game. It will say something like 70 add ons. Click that and make sure everything you bought is installed. In my game i had to re-download the for rent pack. I was having my tasks greyed out but not disappearing. I had the 4rent traits greyed out and if a sim had for rent clothing on, they turned red and white. Fixed instantly.

Problem:

• When I am playing, sometime I want to cancel some tasks and it is not possible to remove them from the list

For example this action just appeared in the queue, I didn’t choose it (‘Welcomes me’). It’s stuck.
