Items have been disappearing from Sims' personal inventories as well as bookcases and fridges. This appears to be the case even with mods disabled and game restarted.

Me, too. If you go out to forage and leave the items in your inventory, they will be gone when you go home. Thankfully, items seem to stay in your household inventory. And everything in my fridge just disappeared.
This has been happening to me too. I've had to re buy the family vacuum cleaner three to five times in the last two days. I've also had two new infant Sims born into my household. In the birth certificates disappeared from my Sims inventory.
Pictures in the inventory disappear and the pictures on the wall are totally black and the paint are empty
having both issues sucks too have been collecting pictures for generations

It's likely to be that MCCC needs updating.

I have a brand new laptop all my mods are up to date and im still loosing all in items in personal inventory/bookshelves/fridges. Its going to suck refinding all the spell books for my spellcaster
