When enlarging the Superasymmetry painting with the square bracket key, the shadow does not resize along with the painting itself. Aside from being cosmetically weird, this limits the placement of the painting on the wall, as the shadow effectively expands the painting's vertical footprint (i.e. the shadow can't be placed below floor level). Thus, the bigger the painting gets, the higher up on the wall it has to sit.
I found an old thread in the archive where this bug was noted in 2015, but it appears never to have been fixed (or it was fixed and broke again).

Greetings
In the meantime I noticed the "too large shadow" on a few other things - for example : selfmade photographs, and an object out of the dlc lovestruck : the stars-string lights attached to wooden posts. The shadow of the modern bathtub (basegame, expensive , with upholstery) is now so big, that you are able to see it outside the exterior wall. I see this "too large shadows" on many objects (all original size !) , you can attach on walls. (i didn't see them while playing longer times ago ... !)

it's also happening to these objects from JA, all of the glyphs and both the awning types have the shadow imprint when shrunk down, it's fainter on these than the plants though. It's seems to only be things from the Build wall structures tab.

Thank you for posting this as a bug 😃 I've had Jungle Adventure for a few years now, it was the first pack I ever bought and these plants have always done this but no one else has ever mentioned they experience the weird shadows so I though it was just me!!

A side by side comparison:

Hi, for me it happens specifically with these three wall plants from JA but only on the inside of a room
Each one in the pics above has been scaled down one size smaller than the default size. On PlayStation you hold down R2 & L2 and press left on the Dpad. The shadow only occurs when placed inside a room.

greetings !
Now i discovered on an old plot of mine, that a picture has " shadow problems ", which where NOT there i played it 1-2 years ago.
It's a special picture a Sim can make out of a Fossil sample ... looks like stones in a stream (brown colored and square). It is larger than the original and the "little" shadow is shown lower on the wall.
I always had to think about something a had read about an update : they change something with the representation of the shadows ... maybe it has to do with it ...
