'Keep Furniture' not working when moving

I'm leaving a comment because mine did not have to do with a marriage move-in. I had a household living in a starter home for a while and I decided to move them so they could have more land for crops. I moved from Willow Creek to Henford on Bagley if that matters and when I clicked keep furniture not a single item was kept, and I didn't get money so they weren't sold. I restarted the game multiple times, had different sims try to move from the phone, and even waited a little bit to make sure that the game definitely had time to process my household inventory. I ended up having to move every item into my inventory individually by hand. After I finally was fully moved in, I discovered that all my food in my fridge (and I had a lot of produce) had vanished as well. I don't know if this was because I got a new fridge or because of the move (though I had gotten a new fridge at one point in my old house when my husband moved in and nothing happened).
