The memorial portraits from the Life and Death Expansion Pack appear to be bugged as they no longer generate an image of a deceased sim, instead showing a blank white image.

Just wanted to add that it also seems to be an issue in HSY (as well as LD and DU) as my sim recently attended her high school graduation and while it spawned a graduation 'photo' into her inventory after talking with the principal at the podium, the 'photo' was blank/white. After travelling back to her home lot the photo was still blank/white and even after putting the photo in the world it remained blank/white. I can't roll back the save or save a copy on the gallery as the photo generated blank/white to begin with. Really sad as this is a high achiever sim and I wanted to have all her achievements on display.
I play on PC and this is a save that was previously modded/contained cc, but I removed mods and all cc from my entire game a while ago. Happy to share the save if that would help.
