The memorial portraits from the Life and Death Expansion Pack appear to be bugged as they no longer generate an image of a deceased sim, instead showing a blank white image.

Guys, they communicated that they are still working on this, and that it would hopefully be the NEXT update (best case scenario). I get the frustration (because it is affecting my saves too), but at least it's being acknowledged and worked on. Paintings/photos are messed up, but there are apparently many factors involved.
