Happens most of the time. I complete all tasks on assignment on reaper career, until it only says return to office as a task. Then, option to return to office does not appear when I click on my sim. Have tried resetting my sim and it still does not appear.

I have updated my game and playing where one of my sims is working with the reaper however twice now after all souls have been reaped the game prompts to return to office by clicking on self but cannot as the option is not there and can't travel anywhere else as you are at work. So the sim is stuck in a random house for a few hours.
I just had the task of collecting souls and closing portals and cannot return to the office. Level 10 reaper and it's happened before. My sim had to pee and also let her eat a ham and cheese sandwich while she was there and she made a friendly introduction to Cedar Cash who was passing by the house. Unsure if doing non-work relating things made it happen. No mods or cc.
(On a side note, staying late for work is also wonky because 75% of the time the work day won't officially end and she can't get home without me taking extra measures).
I just did another collection assignment and was able to get back to the office just fine. I did not do anything non-work related on this one.
This was the first unsuccessful assignment and it was at a house in Willow Creek.
The same thing is happening to me. My sim is level 3 (Reaper).
Every day in the field I get stuck. The option to return to office is never available to me via the self or phone menu. I have tried debugging my sim. I am also not playing with any mods.
Wow, every day? This only happens to me very occasionally. I don't know how you do things or that it matters but try this. When I first get to the office I will scry for assignment. Then I will do any other tasks that are available to complete at the office before traveling to the assignment. Probably just my superstition and it doesn't matter but it can't hurt to try if you haven't and you just immediately go to the assignment figuring you will do the other tasks when you get back.
My sim is currently working the reaper career and the issue that I'm running in to is the travel back to work disappears from my options. I complete everything that I need to do but once it's done, I can't go back to the office. Has anyone else run into this problem?
I play on the PC, have run repair many times and don't use CC.
Thank you for that. This is the first thing that I can't find anything to fix it. It's frustrating.
It just happened again in this park somewhere. Again my sim needed to pee and she was hungry so I had her grill something. It seems like every time I do that is when the option to go back to the office is missing. This is last pics I will post but I will update if I feel like I can confirm the extra actions are the problem on my end.
