Hi there.
In my case, at some point in the game playing off-the-grid, Sims just stop putting used clothes down or into the laundry basket, so I have nothing to wash. Then after a while, all works well again, then it repeats again.
Despite this, if I save some dirty clothes, sim can wash it in the washing tub any time, no matter what.
We are talking about hours of play, so I didn't test it on another save.
For me, it happened in a single save with or without mods.
Can confirm that it happens in multiple households.
It doesn't affect the wash tub, only dirty piles or laundry baskets.
Definitely a weird bug.
