Ideas
Hi.
I've had this issue ever since the august 19th update, here is the info I have so far:
- unable to get passed after the resume loading screen
- removed all mods - game still crashes
- put mods back and through Better Exceptions I received this error (image below)
- I am able to start a new game however, but when I do I always get a white screen before the logo appears.
I can send more info if needed. Thanks!

Hi skayemcd
Could you post your Computer's DxDiag?
- Press Windows-Key + R
- Type: DxDiag
- Click on Save all Information.
- Attach the Text File to your post- skayemcd30 days agoNew Observer
So after doing some research with a little AI, I think I may have found the issue. Looks like it has something to do with the shoe removal sign from Snowy Escape and it's targeting a NPC. Is this a known issue?

Hi skayemcd
I did find a bug report that's potentially the same but to be sure, I'll need your full LE in Documents without BE installed.
You can find them in Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 ?
- Delete the ones you have
- Trigger the error again
- Check if new ones are created
- If that is the case, please copy/paste the content here. You can open the file with any text editor.
*Deleting the file won't fix your issue. Posting the info is meant for troubleshooting.*

Thank you for validating me. I visited the forums in August as well to try to get the game to launch. Everything they were saying did not work, I waited for the update, it did nothing. For me the game still will not launch at all.

Dude... I think I know what might help. Take your last exception file or crash and send it to chatgpt. Good luck hun!

Hi skayemcd
looks like your LE is a bit different but it's also modded.
Please try the clean folder approach described here: 📓[GUIDE] Clean User Folder Approach | EA Forums - 12690428

Hey crinrict,
Thanks again for you help. I followed your instructions for a clean user folder test. The game runs normally until I add my existing save files, then it crashes on load. I’ve pasted below the new LE which was generated from a completely clean, unmodded game (no Mods or CC).
Here is the LE from that crash:
