What didn't work, the game didn't correctly read the sgr file or it didn't fix the black shadow? Have you edited the sgr file directly in the game files and ignored the ConfigOverride folder? You don't need to use it and there was an issue where edited files were causing the game to not load.
Is this happening to every single sim in every single household and every single NPC or just one or a few?
Have you tried a completely clean Sims 4 folder and copied over just that one save from your screenshot?
I edited the sgr file directly in the game files (with a copy on desktop just in case). I think my editions were being read cause I turned shadows to false in high settings and they looked like low settings (idk if makes sense), Then I moved the sgr file to Override (empty folder) and the game didnāt work, it crashed on startup.
Every single sim, even NPC, inside the house, I noticed that only happens certain times of days (sunrise and sunset), so it would go and come back. But if sims go outside doesnāt happen.
I haven't tried generating a completely fresh folder in Documents yet. I will try and see if it works
