Multiple Fences Missing Additional Support Posts

Fences draw extra posts when it makes sense. Several fences where you'd expect these posts appear to be missing them. Basically any fence that is suspended above the ground should have posts at least every 3 or 4 tiles, but these fences never have them until they reach an end, corner, or "intersection".

The B&H fences are particularly bad about this but it reminded me that quite a lot have this problem. Some may be stylistic choices, but I don't really think ANY of them make sense for it.

The Danger Zone Construction Fence (B&H)

Light Metal Fence (B&H)  (This fence is available in debug, and there's no way to place it so it's infinite like this, it has a post every 2 or 4 tiles at least!)
Industromesh Fence (B&H)

Here's the DEBUG version of the fence, it has to be 2 or 4 tiles long max before a post is required.

Good Craftsperson Fence (Growing Together)

Metal Art Deco Fence (HSY)

Not a Leaning (But Still Cool) Iron Fence (For Rent)

Traditional Tomarang Fence (For Rent)

The Iron Tomarani Twist (For Rent)

Bamboo Forest Fence (Snowy Escape)

Cozy Craftsman Fence (Seasons)

It's So Wrought But Feels So Right (Growing Together)

Iron Railing (Vampires)

Fae-Away Fence (Realm of Magic)

Nosy Neighbor Slatted Fence (Perfect Patio) (This one is barely above ground, but I don't think an infinite length piece of wood for every single slat makes any sense)

  • Intern_Waffle_64    Hi there
At first, Bug Report needs Tags about Platform and MOD/CC.
So, please edit from the wheel mark at upright corner of the page and add Tag in your post.
    Then...
If this issue is not bug, you can putting the support posts anywhere you like by using following way.

Create the fense by following each two way.
    Using "Replace fences"

    Using "Place fences by drawing"

Then place the fences every each other.
Take advantage of the fact that the Replace fence and the drawing fence are not integrated.
This is to our advantage in a way, as it allows us to place the posts as far apart as we like, isn't it?

    Edit:
Sorry I forgot the important thing.
Why I think this is bug is following pics.
OP mentioned about the fence placed on the ground, I add the point about creating Deck.

You can see the fence that round part visual is different to straight part. But when I placed Privacy in Pastel fence (from FR) two parts is same visual.

If the design was such that the fence only had posts at the beginning and end, the other three types of fence should look the same Privacy in Pastel fence.
So I think something is wrong. I'm on PC, EA app, no MOD/CC.

The "place a fence then move another piece next to it" method didn't work for me with these fences. I even told friends in a discord chat about the fences that I swear that used to work, but now it just smushes the pieces together and you get the one long piece!

The rounded deck example is interesting. It does imply the fences are meant to have posts and don't!

Hi, you mean the drawed fence and the fence changed the wall are merged? Well, that's weird...
The pics that I attached are took just before post for comment. So this feature should still be valid for now...
Could you take a shot? And I would be grateful if you could also tell me the steps, because I would like to try them out.

I tested your steps too and it works on my side 🤗 Thank you for those

tips, that will be very useful !

Maybe to explain it in another way : I placed my fence and interlaced walls in between where I wanted posts to be.

Then I double clicked on each wall, and selected Replace with: Fences

Then using the Replace fence option in the fence panel, I replaced the two white parts:
