My game literally won't start

I have had no trouble with my sims starting literally ever, I just cleaned out my mods folder and got a few new ones and this stupid game just REFUSES to start. I'm honestly pretty sick of this because it doesn't even give me an error message it just doesn't start. it says its open and active but its not. at this point I just want a refund but that's not an option because I have to use the card I bought the awful game and expansion packs with and I don't have that card anymore. and of course EA makes as difficult as they possibly can to contact them so I can't even ask someone for help. I'm pissed and annoyed and if anyone could help me get a refund? that'd be great. I used to love this game but my god it sucks so bad I regret every dollar I've spent on it and I just want my money back. I'm sooooooo tired of the constant bugs and glitches that they just outright don't care to fix. they don't even try to pretend to care they just want money and its sad honestly. anyway I guess this is me formally quitting the sims and proceeding on my way to get a refund and maybe hopefully one day I will be able to get to that refund. the sims 4 sucks.
