I've had a number of issues with my Sims 4 game before (see previous posts) so I'm not new to trying to troubleshoot errors and find solutions to my usually buggy, laggy, or otherwise broken game. This time however, I'm encountering a new set of problems that just started today. I can load into my game from the EA App/Launcher and play my current save file just fine. No issues with having my sims run interactions or doing things. However, when I attempt to save my game, it keeps failing. It loads as if it is going to work, and then pops up with "Game failed to save. Please exit to the Main Menu and then click Play to reload the game. Error code: 22". I have done as instructed and exited to the main menu and clicked play to reload the game, and it does not resolve the problem.
When I encounter this error, it is followed by my game white screening for a few seconds, before exiting into the worlds menu without me clicking anything. Unfortunately, due to this issue, I cannot save my progress, which makes playing the game frustrating when it will always only revert back to the last successful save before the glitch/error began.
I have troubleshooted already with trying to move my mods folder onto my desktop as a few YouTube tutorials suggested even though I do not use mods anymore and have kept the folder empty, and have cleared the cache as well as repaired the game from the manage menu. Are there any troubleshooting things that I might be missing that could solve the error?
Does anyone know what the error code #22 actually means, and is anyone else encountering this problem? It only started today after I updated the game to the most recent version, and has been ongoing since.
Hope to have this issue solved so I can get back to enjoying the sims soon. Please let me know what I can do to fix my game!
