I've been having this issue for several months now. When sims knit something, it doesn't show as unlocked in the knitting menu, even when added to wardrobe. It does actually show up in the wardrobe, but it makes it a pain to keep track of what my sims have already knitted and what they still need. I don't have any mods. I'm on a PC.
