[PC/MAC] Cannot Load Into Lots after Aug 19 Update

Just restarted my computer 20 times trying to play the sims 4. It's been two days of me not having time to play due to adulting, so I was really looking forward to play... My game is literally unplayable. I am able to load as far as the main menu, and I can choose a save to load, but I cannot load any lots. When attempting to load a lot, it sends me back to the town menu. I also see a notice that says "The game failed to load. It is recommended that you relaunch your game." Pleaseeeee fix this immediately!!
