Hi, I’m facing a critical issue in The Sims 4 on PC after the August 19, 2025 update:
- I can open the game and reach the main menu, but when I try to load any household — even newly-created ones — the game crashes to desktop (no error message) or hangs indefinitely at the loading screen.
- I’ve tried all standard fixes: removing Mods/CC, deleting the localthumbcache.package file, and repairing the game via EA App. None of this helps.
- This issue consistently affects all households and is completely blocking my gameplay.
- I’m not alone — many other players report the same behavior in other threads.

Hi, I think its because of a mod. Since it happens in everyone, I think its a popular mod (its not mc, ui, more columns, extreme violance, life tragedies, more traits in cas, tool, better build buy. I dont have the last 2 and rest is either updated or I tried delete-start the game) I think it can be xml injector but I am not sure since I dont have the time to delete-start.
