When I place photos taken with phones or cameras in my Sims’ house, they turn black when I exit the game and come back to play!!!! 😢😢

I have been out of the game for a while and been playing randomly with my households. When I loaded into one of my main households today, I found all of their pictures on the wall had gone black. I have kept very few and select pictures so it cannot be because I had too many. I checked their inventories and none of those photos are there. The digital frames give me no option to manage photos like they normally did. And the photos that you can see on the right side wall are just photos that my sim took when she was a teenager and I need these back. I am not very techy on this kind of thing so some guidance would be helpful. please.
