Photos turning black/Paintings turning white (Patch 1.121.342)

I didn't know you could manually do it, but if it that's safe it doesn't hurt to try. If that doesn't work, perhaps you could recover the save where the photos are good, save your pictures to room to see if you can get them back that way.

My photos are turning blank/blacked out and it's driving me crazy! I'm a generationl sims player and have photos from past family but they keep turning blank, with or without mods. It keeps happening and is making me not want to play the sims! It's been a problem for so long and I don't understand why they wont fix it!!

Since this bug was not fixed and there is no longer a subject about it in the forum that I was able to find, I re-open a ticket. Paintings by reference turn white. 

Got the latest update and went to houses I had never opened between last update and now, and yet their photos had turned black and paint-by-reference paintings had turned white. Is there any way to prevent this from happening to every household or is it already done, even if that house hasn't been played in months? 

I used the recovery method of opening an old save and moving all photos & paintings to a room that is uploaded to library, which works, but with over a dozen active legacy household and hundreds of photos and paintings, I'd love to avoid doing the fix for every house, if possible. Manually fixing every image is  super time intensive, isn't fool proof, and is not fun. 

A reminder that capturing memories that can be displayed in-game is a critical feature for personalized, legacy family gameplay. It is also a feature that has been around for many years, so pretty heartbreaking for it to be so buggy.

This bug will just never be fixed. I give up hope and the sims I guess. 

How many times will this get “fixed”?
