My pictures are black after I load back into my game on console.

It also just happened to me for the first time :(
- I was taking the photos with the Clickshot P10 Mirrorless camera in a residential house that also has a small business in it
- with "Take photo of.." my infant, and using CTRL 6+7 to move into a certain position during the shots. I used the second (medium) size of photos
- I hung the photos on a wall and framed them, 2 of them i gave a brightening filter, and a few of them I resized in build mode, others i pulled onto the small business selling wall, but ended up not selling them but rather pulling them back to inventory and selling all the ones i didnt like, to keep the file size down.
- I then saved the game with save as, and switched household
- After playing with the other Sim, I came back still in the same play session to the Sim with the photos and quit the game as i wasn't interested in keeping the latest changes with the other Sim
- When I reopened my game right after (and i did a thumbnailcache delete just before as i was testing a mod) all my photos I took today were black, no matter if they had the filter or not, and also those that weren't resized. I never had this happen before, even though I heard others had.
When I reverted to the previous save and tried to break it again, by taking photos in the same house the same way, and this time just saving with save as and quitting the game right after, it did not make my Photos black.. I must have done something special last time that made them blank, maybe it was the use of filters or build mode before saving.. I'll keep an eye on it, if it happens again and try to precisely re-create if it does.
Do you know your way around S4Studio ? If so, could you check if any of the photos have a texture file ?
I've read your instructions (great post btw, thanks so much for making it!!) and haven't digged too deep in savefiles in S4S so far to be comfortable navigating it. But I might put some learning time into this on the Easter weekend, as it looks like a skill that's good to have for various issues in the game right now 👍
Would be interesting to just check the textures if you have those pics you took.
I highly assume the textures won't be there as the file size of this save didn't go up compared to the one before the photos, but let me give it a go now to dive into the save with S4S, hope I can figure it out quick :)
