Photos/Paintings turning black/blank (1.102.190/1.82)

I have had this issue for some time now. I saw some people on reddit were having the same issue and in the comments, someone had a suggestion to help. they suggested to just "save" my game and then to exit, not to use "save and exit" and while this was working, I recently moved my sims household and I placed the photos in my household inventory. When I went into build mode to place the photos in the new house, they were all blacked out. all twenty-four pictures....

I normally am not one to be reporting bugs because they never really were a big issue (besides the weather bug), but this just really sucked. as the pictures were really important to my current gameplay.
