This bug should be prioritised for a fix.
It is blighting the whole game for many of us, who take photos all the time as part of storytelling - our lots and inventories are full of them.
For now I have saved my older household lots and rooms with many photos to my gallery by entering them only via the map and build mode.
That doesn't protect the photos in my sims' personal and household inventories though, so I am avoiding actively playing many households in the hope any not accessed in live mode before we get a fix will ultimately survive.
This is not sustainable though unless there is a fix soon. I want to play the game properly, not this limited version of it where I daren't enter many of my favourite households.
(I'm on a mac, no mods or cc.)
This and the tattoo / custom skin on animals etc with character models turning black. Both are a blight and should have been fixed before ANYTHING was pushed to production. Anyone who bought business & hobbies frankly should just get a total refund just out of good faith from EA because they just made their own pack/features redundant.
BOTH are previously known bugs and huge game-breakers for all simmers. We pay good money for these games and all these pictures and moments in time we capture that we're losing are impossible to get back.
