Photos/Paintings turning black/blank (1.102.190/1.82)

I keep getting photos coming out white/blank. I cant even try any of the suggested fixes for them other than to make sure to save then exit the game without doing another save and also do save as instead of save (which didn't work for me, still get blank photos coming out), because they are essentially just "backup your photos to the gallery before something goes wrong", i cant backup what i didn't have in the first place.  Disappointing that there doesn't even seem to have been so much as an attempt to fix this in 7 months.
