Photos/Paintings turning black/blank (after 1.102.190/1.82)

Photos go black. I'm on a Mac. They are fine coming out of the inventory. Then I exit game. When I reload the game, they are black. ALWAYS happens. Yes  I have mods and CC-- but I disabled all CC and script mods. STILL HAPPENS!

Oh dear. This was an issue previously—usually when storing pictures in the keepsake box, or, before that, randomly. It sounds like you’ve done what I did to fix it: rolled back to a previous version of the save. 

Have you tried saving pictures to a library/gallery room and seeing if that helps, or if they’re affected as well? My pictures and paintings from reference were safe in my library, fwiw, although obviously you don’t want to replace them whenever you load the save! But perhaps you would only have to replace them once? 

(Try it as a “save as.”)

Same issue, photos go black and paint from reference goes white. Started with the latest update, just before the release of Business and Hobbies. I use MCCC and WWhims as mods and some clothing CC, that's all. I tried reloading, new game, and always happens. My sims doesnt even leave the lot, I just need to close the game and load back and the paintings are gone. The same happens if I disable mods. PC User. 

Edit - If I put the paintings or photos into a room and save it to the gallery, they stay. I can then place them in my home and they will stay fine, without going black or white.

I'm having that issue as well. I play on PC and tried both with and without mods. I not only disabled my mods but I also flat out removed all my mods and copied them to another folder to check out this issue. With or without mods as soon as I exit the game (even just going to the main menu), as soon as I come back the photos turned Black.

A mi me pasa lo mismo desde el último parche, haces fotos, salvas partid y cuando la vuelves. A cargar están en negro…. Espero lo solucionen porque así no puedes personalizar la vida de tus sims es un rollo además de perder todas las fotos de su vida

Yes, happening in my game as well, all photos are turning black after I quit the game and reload it. I hope they fix it soon!!!!! It’s on PC, without mods. Doesn’t matter where you keep them, on the wall, in storage boxes, and in sims inventories, all of them are affected.

I just bought the new Business & Hobbies pack, haven’t played with it yet as I’m at a major development moment in my legacy family. I’m about to marry the daughter off and move her out but wanted to take some nice photos of them before she moves. But sadly the photos keep appearing blank / black when I exit and reload the game. This is pretty major for a legacy player, so I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced this and has any tips on how to fix? I’ve tried copying my save file to desktop and deleting the one in the sims 4 folder, starting the game and then quitting and replacing the new save with the old. I’ve tried saving as new. Nothing has worked. Any thoughts? See image for ref, the left and right blank photos are the new ones I’ve taken and this is how they appear when I reload the game. Thanks in advance!
