So my old save files slowing deleting but not my new one after the world been updated for the sims birthday. My thoughts is the old saves(map) is now an error for game because it isnt the new world with the updated building so now the game sees it as an error and is removing the builds in the old save file to fix it. The system knows to gift us the new updated worlds so it seeing the old one it is trying to fix it. removing it slowly is how it is doing it. only old save files is effected not new after update on the world.
