[PSP] Can't put doll in inventory when not in Paranormal career (not owned)

My sim has a Dahlia doll on his lot. Whilst it can be dragged into his inventory, he cannot put it in his inventory via the 'put item in inventory' interaction, as he supposedly does not own the item...
