Okay every time I load up the game, load into my save file, enter build/buy mode every us always gold and no matter how times I click each category, if I add in a new Sim somewhere its all gold again. Also the small business category is glitched. I don't know if I am am the only one having this issue but it is really annoying.

So the recent update fixed the glitch that caused all my DLC items to be constantly marked as new in build mode and cas every time I boot up the game except for the kids activity section in build mode. It’s stubbornly staying highlighted even if I click it and nothing “new” pops up when I click it either.
I checked my add ons and it says all of my packs are installed so I have no idea what’s causing it.
did you update your game yesterday ? What is your current game version ?
All items in build mode are marked brand new with the gold star in the left corner of the item as if you’ve never used it before. It happens every time I open up the game. You have to do show all items for each category in order for them all to go away which is getting really tedious. I like to see which packs my items are from but it’s all being blocked by the gold star in the corner.
could you confirm that you update to 2.35 ?
On my console everything that I have from any pack or maker kits stays highlighted as new even if I've had it for a long time. Also it affects when I'm making Sims too.
Still the same on PS5, it's the first time I've played since the update, so closed the game, restarted console reopened and they still show up as new, I can get rid of it by clicked on "show all" option... But to do this every time the game is opened, is rather dull to say the least...

Also happens with build mode too, (windows, doors, terrain tools, pool/fountain options, etc)
Every time I launch my game every single item both base game and pack in cas and build/buy mode is marked as new with the gold star marker. Every. Single. Time. And this issue has been happening for over a month, I took a break and came back thinking surely it’d be fixed by now but nope! Still broken.
