I tested vanilla, and when you go to add a relationship with a family of 6 or more- the relationship panel goes down and off the screen so you cant add relationships between family members- it cuts off. There is no scroll bar either. So unless you play with cheats to where you can force a relationship between sims you cant add it between other members of family. This is on laptop mode, but im assuming it would be the same on full screen mode.

what resolution are you playing on ? Could you test if it happens outside of laptop mode ?
The resolution im playing on is 2,704x1,320 , but i've been playing on this resolution for years with 0 issues, and now all of a sudden its a problem. -- i just switched to full screen from laptop mode and now the entire relationship panel shows , but now the adult in the family (who i wanted to be the mother) only displays the option to be the sister, not the mother of the family to the teenagers. (i had the issue yesterday where it kept telling me i can not edit pre-existing sims relatinoships and was randomly making the adults either cousins or aunts to the children, and not the parents.) -- this was all tested vanilla
to be sure the UI scale is still on default and this is the only part you have issues with ?
It the issue with missing options also an issue of stuff being cut off or is it simply not there and probably another issue ?
Its just not there- it only gives the option to make them a sister and not a mother, its not cut off anymore if you switch to fullscreen -- but again i have been playing on laptop mode for years, but after the recent update, now the relationship panel is cut off on laptop mode.
and now there is the issue of not being able to make adult sims parents to teens, they have the option of being only siblings or house members--- yesterday it told me i could not edit pre-existing sims, now i cant even make the adult a parent.
Sounds like two issues though so best if you make a new thread for the second in case this is a new family just created in CAS or use this thread: Cannot set parents for pre-existing sims | EA Forums - 11924857 if you're trying to edit an existing family.
